Attendance and Grading Rules
I. Attendance Rules
1. The following rules apply to all classes and activities listed in the School Schedule.
2. Students must ask for leave in advance and get permission from their class teachers if they can not attend classes due to personal reasons, or they must complete ask-for-leave procedure afterwards if there is an emergency.
3. Students must provide proof of illness from the hospital or from the school clinic if they can not attend classes due to illness. They may also provide records of illness or proof of illness from their parents.
4. Absenteeism applies to those who leave school or fail to attend school without asking for leave.
5. Three times’ class tardiness of a subject equals one time of absenteeism, and those whose number of absenteeism reaches one third of all classes of a subject are not allowed to take exams of the subject.
6. The school regularly reveals a name list recording student attendance and gives disciplinary punishment to those who repeatedly violate attendance rules. If a student receives three times of disciplinary punishment, he is expelled from the school.
7. Students absent from one third of all classes or more each semester due to illness or personal affairs are not allowed to take final exams unless they get permission from the director of the International Division.
8. If a student is absent for 3 days or more due to illness or personal affairs, his class teacher must report him to Teaching Affairs Office for record of absence.
