No. 2 High School of East China Normal University, EFZ in short, was founded in 1958. It is a “key high school” in Shanghai that is under the direct auspices of the country’s Ministry of Education and is renowned at home and abroad for its education of high quality.
　　The school moved itself to Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Pudong in 2002,with a new campus covering an area of 150 mu and enjoying convenient transportation, next to Metro Line 2.  It serves as a modern boarding school of high standard with over 1,500 Chinese and overseas students and faculty &staff over 200 at present.
　　EFZ Zhangjiang Campus offers first-class facilities, including Office Building, Teaching Building, Library & Information Building, Lab Building, Art Building, Observatory, Conference Hall, Music Hall that holds 500 people, Indoor Gym, Indoor Swimming Pool, 400-meter Plastic Cement Race Track, Standard-size Football Field, Athletic Field, Tennis Courts, Basketball Courts, Volleyball Courts, Dormitory Building with 400 rooms, each housing 4 students, Dining Center, and a Chain convenience store.
　　Located in ZiZhu National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Minhang District, EFZ Zizhu Campus officially started to recruit students in 2012.  EFZ thus formed a new pattern of ‘One School, Two Campuses’.

EFZ International Division Overview

　　In 1999, the International Division of No. 2 High School of ECNU was established and was approved, as one of the five public international divisions in Shanghai, by the Shanghai Municipal Government for enrolling foreign students, aged 12 to 18, for junior and senior high school diploma education.
　　The International Division (ID) serves as an HSK testing center and a “Base” under the direct auspices of the Office of Chinese Language Council International of the People’s Republic of China for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.  And it provides Chinese language teaching as an established subsidiary of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.  Also, it is an AP school, an SSAT testing center and the University of Cambridge China Screening Center Recruitment Base.
　　Featuring a Chinese curriculum and teaching system well blended with western characteristics, ID focuses on a collaborative development of overall qualities, basic knowledge, foreign language abilities and innovation in students.  It aims to nurture talented leading personnel based in China yet with a global vision.
　　ID Zhangjiang Campus at present has about 500 international students and they share the beautiful campus with domestic students. With ID Zizhu Campus officially starting to recruit students in 2015, EFZ International Division has developed into a new structure of ‘One International Division, Two Campuses’.
