The International Division has five teaching and research groups and they are of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Mathematics, English language, Chinese language and other subjects. Major responsibilities of the groups include doing educational, teaching and research work, group preparation for classes, discussion on teaching plans and organizing study activities for students.
The Mathematics teaching and research group issues mini newspapers for Mathematics lovers on a regular basis, where interesting questions from students are published for others to answer with prizes. The English language teaching and research group organizes games for students, and teachers tutor applicants for English speech contest. The Chinese language teaching and research group encourages students to join in Chinese compositions and teachers have helped them win big prizes many times.
The Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language teaching and research group has 8 teachers, all of whom hold a master’s degree. They regularly hold themed events related to traditional Chinese holidays among language students apart from the routine teaching and research activities among teachers themselves. They also host Chinese language and culture competitions for the first semester of an academic year and speech contests in Chinese for the second semester. Various events are very popular among students, and they arouse students’ great interest in learning Chinese.
